Chunked Multiple File Upload with AJAX in Oracle APEX

ORA-22858 invalid alteration of datatype

 

Change the data type of column 3 from VARCHAR2 (50) to CLOB while keeping the column order correct.

Step 1: Add Column 

	                    
                     
Alter Table Test_tble Add(Paragraph2 Clob);

--step 2: Update Column 

	                    
                     
Update Test_tble Set Paragraph2 = Paragraph

Step 3: Drop Old Name Column 

	                    
                     
Alter Table Test_tble Drop (Paragraph);

--Step 4: Rename The New Column To The Previous Name 

	                    
                     
Alter Table "Test_tble" Rename Column "Paragraph2" To "Paragraph"
